All RISPE Programs are state-approved programs by the Rhode Island Department of Education.

Following the Rhode Island Right to Read Act, all RISPE Certification Program completers will have gained knowledge and proven proficiency in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. Candidates of our initial teacher certification programs will participate in coursework and clinical practice where the Science of Reading has been embedded in the curriculum of the program. All RISPE program educators will feel empowered as practitioners, using the principles and tools of The Science of Reading, which will guide and elevate the full learning experience for each and every student.
